One of my operas, Pacific Pleasures, is going to be performed in Portugal from February – October (2026). Specific dates are listed below. The opera itself serves as a prequel to Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti. The two operas together make up the show Tahiti! which is touring Portugal this year. It will be performed by the Orquestra do Algarve (cond. Pablo Urbina) and directed by Jorge Balça. It also features Inês Constantino (mezzo-soprano), Ricardo Panela (baritone), Rui Baeta (baritone), Sofia Marafona (soprano), Leonel Pinheiro (tenor), Ana Rebelo and Luís Godinho (puppeteers).

The tour dates and locations are as follows:

7th February – Lagoa, Algarve.

13th February – Loulé, Algarve.

17th April – Lisbon

9th October – Lagos, Algarve
